Determination of Length-of-Need for Guardrail without Anchorage

Description: 125 ft - 9.5 inch long W-beam guardrail system with a length-of-need of 75 ft. It was anchored on the upstream end by a SoftStop end terminal. The 2nd crash test was the same as the first with the exception that a rectangular plate washer was assed and attached in the front of the guardrail posts 19 & 20.
